- ProblemThis is nearly all image and almost no text1 images and 15 words. With images blocked, the reader gets a blank message, and filters treat an image only email as a signal.
- WarningNo preview text block foundWithout one the client takes the first line it finds. That is usually a link to view in a browser.
Everything here runs in your browser. Your numbers are never sent anywhere, not to me and not to anyone else.
How this is calculated, and what to put in
Why a preview does not catch these
A preview renders your HTML. So does the inbox. If the HTML says something wrong, both show it identically.
You read the preview looking at the design. The two that hurt most are invisible while you do that.
The two that actually ship
- A merge tag nobody filled in
- If your platform does not recognize the shape, it sends exactly as typed. Hello, first name. It reads as carelessness, which is worse than the mistake itself.
- A link to your staging server
- It works when you click it, because you have access. It works for nobody else. This one is always found after the send.
What it does not do
It does not render your email in forty clients. Those services exist and they are worth paying for.
This answers a smaller question in two seconds, on your own machine, with nothing uploaded. Is there anything in here that should stop the send.
On the unsubscribe finding
Most platforms add a link at send time. So this can report a problem you do not have.
It is reported anyway. A message that goes out without one is worth a false alarm now and then.
