What this site collects, and why.

Written to describe what the code actually does. If this page and the behavior disagree, the behavior is the bug.

Who is responsible

Marketing Engines, Inc. runs this site. Write to me at 27702 CROWN VALLEY PKWY D4-217, LADERA RANCH, CA 92694 or use the quote form for anything on this page.

What is collected when you just read

Every page view writes one row recording the visit. That row holds the page and where you came from. It also holds any campaign tags in the link, and a timestamp.

It also holds a random identifier stored in a cookie on your device. That identifier is not your name. It is linked to one only if you later give me your details yourself.

Your address on the network is hashed with a secret before storage. The original is never written down. I cannot recover it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.

The analytics question, and the banner

A banner asks once whether I may load an analytics tool. Somebody else makes it, and it runs in your browser. So it waits for a yes.

Your answer is kept in a cookie called jt_consent for a year. It holds only yes or no. The answer is written to the record above as well, under the heading analytics, either way.

The rest of this page does not wait for that banner. The row described above is written by my own server, on my own domain. I say so here rather than let a banner imply otherwise.

No advertising tag runs on this site, whether you accept or refuse. There are no paid ads until this business is profitable.

If your browser says no

I honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends that signal, the visit is counted and nothing else happens. No identifier is stored, so the row cannot be connected to you later. You see no banner, and the analytics tool stays off.

One cookie is set, and only because of the signal. It is called jt_gpc, it holds a single digit, and it is how the page itself knows to stay quiet. Your browser sends the signal to my server, not to the page.

Most privacy focused browsers send it by default. Some others have a setting for it.

What is collected when you send the form

Your name, email address, company, revenue range, and what you wrote. Your phone number too, if you give one. I use it to answer you and to work with you if we work together.

A record of your consent is stored alongside it. Every consent record here holds the same five things. The time, and the form you used. The exact wording you agreed to, and what it covers. Your hashed address. That record exists so I can prove it.

The form runs Cloudflare Turnstile. It tells my server whether the request came from a real device. It does not identify you to me.

What the CRM Score stores

Your answers to the ten questions, and the score worked out from them. One row is written per run, in Supabase.

The row also holds your revenue band, brand name and platform. All three are optional.

It holds the random identifier described above. That is how a later run sits beside an earlier one. It holds no name.

Ask for the result by email and your address is stored too. A consent record goes with it. The score is kept either way.

If you ask me to watch a domain

Your address and the domain, and a record that you asked. I email you about that domain only, when something changes.

It is stored under its own permission. It never becomes a newsletter, and never becomes anything else.

If you sign up for the teardown

One field, your address, and a record that you asked. It holds the same five things as every other consent record above.

It is a weekly email and nothing else. One click stops it. Stopping it leaves anything you asked for separately untouched.

Asking for a calculator result is not this. That consent covers the one email you asked for. It is stored under its own scope. The two can never be treated as the same thing.

What is never collected

Who else sees it

The database is hosted by Supabase in Northern California. The site runs on Vercel.

The check on every form is Cloudflare Turnstile. Email is sent by Brevo, which is also where a subscriber list lives.

Addresses are checked for typos by ZeroBounce before anything is sent. Each provider sees only what its job needs.

Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared for anyone else to advertise to you on their own behalf.

How long it is kept

The visit record is kept indefinitely. The point of it is answering questions a year or two from now. It is a record of what happened, not of who you are.

Your details are kept while there is a reason to have them. They are removed when you ask.

Removing your details

Ask through the quote form and I will remove every identifier I hold for you. Your name, email address and phone number are deleted outright.

The visit records stay, and after the deletion nothing in them points to you. That is deliberate. The removal is real, rather than a flag on a row that still exists.

Your rights

In California, you can ask what I hold and ask for a copy. You can have it deleted. You can opt out of sale or sharing. There is no sale or sharing, and the browser signal above covers the opt out.

In the United Kingdom and the European Union the same rights apply. So does the right to object, and the right to complain to your regulator.

I will never treat you differently for exercising any of them.

Which crawlers I let in

Search crawlers are allowed. Those are Googlebot, Bingbot, DuckDuckBot and Applebot.

AI search crawlers are allowed too. Those are OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User.

AI training crawlers are also allowed. Those are GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Google-Extended and Applebot-Extended.

Nothing is blocked by name. I decided that on 18 October 2026, because a page nobody can read helps nobody.

Three paths stay out of every crawl. The interface endpoints, my own desk, and the preserved files from the old site.

The live list is in robots.txt. If this page and that file disagree, the file is what runs.

Children

This site is for people running businesses. It is not for children and I do not knowingly collect anything from one.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes. Material changes get a note here describing what moved.
